Hosts who apply to run a fair can choose to hear from us by text. This page explains who receives those messages, what we send, and how to opt in or out. Text messages are sent by Spacebar Company OÜ (Page Bird), which operates this platform for the Acton Children's Business Fair.
Opting in happens on the host application at childrensbusinessfair.org/start. One step of that application, titled "Receive updates by text", asks for your mobile number. Entering your number there is how you agree to receive text messages from us. The step can be skipped, and agreeing is optional and is not a condition of applying to or participating in a fair.
This is what that step looks like:
Only adults who applied on this website to host a fair, and who gave us their mobile number on the step above. We never buy, rent, or import phone numbers, and we do not text anyone who has not given us their number directly.
Every message concerns your own account, application, or event. We send no marketing or promotional content, and we never send messages on behalf of anyone else.
Message frequency varies based on your application and event activity. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. We do not charge for these messages.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will get one confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or email us and we will take care of it. Opting out of texts does not affect your application, your account, or your fair, and we will still reach you by email.
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party. We use Twilio as our messaging provider, solely to deliver these messages on our behalf.
