Observe the opportunity for children to launch their very own startup business alongside local business vendors.
Kids develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace. This is for homemade items by the youth & sold by the youth age 5-14 years old.
We will host booths at the 4th annual Covington Chamber of Commerce Family Expo and Youth Fair, Covington, WA 98042 at Cedar Heights Middle School. This will be on Thursday, April 16th from 4-7pm with a youth ages 5-14 years (adult/guardian helper required entire time) set up time starting 3:30pm. Please note that we have another Business Expo running prior to this as well so you may read conflicting times. The YOUTH portion open to the public is 4-7pm. *We will not be accepting any vendors with food due to the venue regulations. OTHER NOTES OF THIS EVENT: if you need electrical outlets please tell us (BYOcord), You bring your own max 6' table & chair along with marketing materials and enough cash/change as there is no ATM on the property. You'll provide one item that you made as your "entrance fee" that we will use as the main raffle item. Don't forget to bring snacks to hold you over from 4-7pm.
LIABILITY: Kent School District, the City of Covington and the Covington Chamber of Commerce are not responsible for any personal belongings that may be lost, stolen or left behind at the 2020 Covington Family Expo & Youth Fair. Vendors agree to hold Kent School District, the City of Covington and the Covington Chamber of Commerce harmless for any claims that may arise from damages to personal property, injuries or accidents at the 2020 Covington Family Expo & Youth Fair.
