Frequently asked questions
The Kids Business Fair inspires children to discover their inner entrepreneur. This one-day market gives kids the chance to create and showcase their very own businesses in a fun, real-world setting.
We will make every effort to accept all applications.
Applications must be submitted online. Please submit one application per business. Children working as a group should submit a single application that includes each participant’s information. No more than three participants may be part of one business.
Parents may help children fill out the form, but children should contribute as much as possible to the application.
Duplicate ideas are allowed. For example, more than one jewelry or art business is fine. If a similar idea has already been submitted, later applicants will be notified so they can decide if they want to adjust their plan.
No. Only goods or services created or produced by children may be sold. Reselling or selling adult-made products is not allowed.
No. Food and drink sales are not allowed at the fair.
The fair will be held indoors. Each business must bring their own table (no larger than 6 feet), chairs, tablecloth, and any display materials. No tents or canopies are allowed. All items must fit within the assigned space and not interfere with other booths.
No. Electricity will not be provided for any booths.
The fair is designed to give children hands-on experience running a business. Children are expected to handle setup, customer interaction, and sales on their own. Each booth should be fully set up before the event begins and remain open for the entire duration.
Parents must supervise their children but may not sell or promote products or services. If a parent is found selling or promoting a child’s business, the business will be disqualified.
Yes. Children must stay at their booths and may not walk around selling or soliciting. Loud music or disruptive behavior is not allowed. Booths must be cleaned up after the event, and all materials must be taken home.
