About the fair
Kids develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace. What better way to learn about business and entrepreneurship?
Originally started in Austin, Texas, the Acton Children's Business Fair has grown to over 4,400 fairs in 797 cities. The Severna Park fair will be held outdoors in the parking lot of the Park Plaza Shopping Center in Severna Park.

Fair Details
- Children ages 5 to 16 can apply.
- Please submit one application for each business. (Children working as a group may submit one application with all children’s info.)
- Awards will be given! Categories are most original business idea, highest business potential, and best presentation.
- There is a $25 fee per booth if your business is accepted. Each booth receives one complimentary t-shirt (additional can be purchased).
- All businesses are required to bring a pop-tent (10'x10' or 9'x9') and a 6' or 8' table.

We founded the Maryland Curiosity Lab to provide children with opportunities to advance their learning through hands-on activities.
The Acton Children's Business Fair is the perfect example of the type of learning opportunity we seek to build — it's driven by the student, hands-on, and full of feedback (good and bad!).
We also run a Montessori studio and Acton Academy serving grades K-12.
