About the fair
Do something amazing with your kids this summer! Harness and develop their natural creativity and energy into meaningful entrepreneurial skills. 

Kids develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace. 

We will hold informal meet ups every other week in the summer to help you guide your child in developing their very own business. We will host a Children's Business Fair in August (date TBD) on the Green, where your children will sell their products and services to the public. Your child will have the choice of keeping their profits or donating them to a local charity. 

This event is sponsored by Acton Academy, the Acton School of Business, and the generous support of our donors and volunteers.  We all believe that principled entrepreneurs are heroes and role models for the next generation.

Whether an entrepreneur is famous like Elon Musk or Oprah Winfrey or they are one of the thousands of unsung business owners across this country, these are the people who make sacrifices to innovate, create jobs and serve their communities.

Hi! I'm Rachel Smith, aka Engineer Smith. During the school year I love working with many of your students in our STEM program but this summer I wanted to do something a little different. In my previous career I was a sales engineer, which blended engineering skills with business skills, so when I came across this idea of encouraging children to become entrepreneurs, I was hooked! I am continually impressed with the young engineers I see in STEM and I can't wait to see that same creativity applied to a business plan.
