About the fair
Our 3rd Annual Youth Entrepreneur Event is happening this summer, and once again, the Hampstead Farmers Market is welcoming our young entrepreneurs to join them for a very special day.

Welcome Back: Hampstead Farmers Market Youth Day

This event has been incredibly successful year after year, and the farmers market community truly loves seeing these young businesses show up, set up, and shine. The market will feature the regular farmers on one side and our youth entrepreneurs on the other, creating an amazing, high-energy experience for everyone.

Spots are limited, and we are giving you the opportunity to secure your space before opening it to the public. Here is what you need to know:

This opportunity is completely FREE thanks to Jennifer Lleras of Hampstead marketing and Design and the Hampstead Famers Market

You must provide your own setup (table, tent, chairs, etc.)
If you participated in a previous event and canceled or no-showed, you will not be eligible for this one due to high demand.

Be prepared for an early morning setup and to stay through the full event

Participants will set up outdoors alongside the regular farmers and vendors and get a true farmers market experience from start to finish.

Date: June 27th, 2026
Time: 7:00 am – 12:00 pm

Frequently asked questions

How many businesses will you accept?
We will accept up to 50+ businesses.

How do I apply? Can I apply as part of a group?
Application must be submitted online. Please submit one application for each business. Children working as a group should submit one application that includes each child's information. No more than 3 participants per business.

What if someone else has the same business idea?
Two cupcake businesses? Not a problem. In general, we will let market forces play out, though we will let later entries know if another applicant has a similar idea so the later entrant can decide what to do. We have seen a few businesses in the past become so saturated that we advise against there being more than one, those are lemonade stands and crochet animals. We also have seen some kids businesses do very poorly due to poor planning and products, please be sure to set realistic expectations with your entrepreneur so that they come prepared and have to resources they need.

How will the fair be set up?
The fair will be outdoors. Each Business will be required to bring their own tables and chairs, electricity is not available.

What are the rules?
This event is designed to give children the experience of selling a product or service.

Parents of younger children may sit in the booth, but the children should be responsible for set up, customer interaction, and sales.

Parents may help their child fill out the application, but we expect the children to do as much as possible by themselves. We had a few rule breakers of this last year, if you're a family business please choose to alter your business model that day so that your child is able to complete all of the service themselves.
