Calling all young entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity and business skills!
VENUE-IRON PEAK HILLSBOROUGH

🗓️ Started hosting in 2023
🚀 Has hosted 1 fair
It all started with a small lemonade stand that we helped our daughters to set up in front of our house. I noticed how this one entrepreneurial endeavor sparked wonder in the kids of our neighborhood, so I knew we had to scale it into something bigger to give them a platform to create and launch their own business ideas. Within one month, with the help of a few other moms, we organized a neighborhood fair with 40 tables featuring the business ideas of 80+ kids. The fair was a huge success and drove over $5K in revenue. This year, with the mentorship of incredible non-profit Acton Children's Business Fair and town officials, we got to host the annual fair empowering even more young entrepreneurs at a bigger platform.
We are pleased to announce first community wide Kid's Business fair on August 13, 2023, in New Jersey. Booth set up will be 1 hour before the event is open for customers. Registration fee per booth is $20.
Inviting all the kids (age 7-15 years) to participate in a fun filled afternoon where they will become business owners at a one-day marketplace. This will be their opportunity to shine their entrepreneurship skills by selling items/commodities solely made by them. This year's focus is on INNOVATION. Please encourage your child to be innovative in their ideas and why they think it is innovative.
This is children focused event where they will set up the booths, attract real customers and pitch for the sale. The goal of this event is to bring a sense of ownership and understanding of the business nuisances.
This event will give a platform to conduct real transactions, learn about presentation skills, product marketing, buying & selling and profit and loss!
This event is organized by Unity Community Events in collaboration with the incredible non-profit organization Acton Children's Business Fair. All the registrations will go through a pre-screening process. Once your business idea is accepted you will be prompted to pay 20$ application fee in order to finish registration.
There will be awards in different categories, in order to appreciate and encourage all the hard work, efforts and creativity. Therefore, we encourage to motivate the kids to bring in their best and brightest ideas on the table.
Excited to see you all at the marketplace!
Please refer to FAQs for sponsorship opportunities.
UPDATE: The Venue of the event is Iron Peak, Hillsborough. Setup time 10-11am. Event starts at 11am

The Acton Children’s Business Fair inspires children to discover their inner entrepreneur. The largest entrepreneurship event for kids in North America, this one-day market gives children the opportunity to showcase their very own businesses.
How many businesses will you accept?
We will accept up to 40 businesses/booths.
What age groups are accepted?
Age 7-15 years (age at the day of the fair)
Where should I begin?
Start with our resources page. Read inspiring stories about other young entrepreneurs and narrow down your business skills.
Fill and submit the application form with appropriate details. The organizing team will process your form and confirm your spot for the event.
How do I apply? Can I apply as part of a group?
Application must be submitted online. Please submit one application for each business. Children working as a group should submit one application that includes each child’s information. No more than 3 participants per booth. One booth can have 1-2 variety of products for sale.
What is on the application?
The application asks kids to think through some simple, but important elements of their business:
What product or service do you plan to sell?
What price will you charge for each product/service? How much will each product/service cost you?
How will you pay for your startup costs? If someone is helping you with your startup costs, how will you pay that person back?
How will you advertise/market your business before the fair?
At the end of the fair, how will you determine if your business was a success?
What if someone else has the same business idea?
Two cupcake businesses? Not a problem. In general, we will let market forces play out, though we will let later entries know if another applicant has a similar idea so the later entrant can decide an alternative. The goal is to get more variety and broad range of products for a great customer service experience.
How will the fair be set up?
The event location is indoor therefore, this is a rain or shine event at the decided date.
Each booth will bring their own 6 ft X 3 ft foldable table for setup. 1 hour will be allocated for setting up the booth. Be creative in decorating your booth. The most attractive booth will be appreciated in one of the award categories.
Will electricity be available?
Unfortunately, due to fire hazard and Strick township protocol, electricity will not be provided neither allowed to the booths.
What are the rules?
This event is designed to give children the experience of selling a product or service. If a parent is found selling or promoting a child’s product or service, their child’s business will be disqualified from the competition.
The children should be responsible for set up, customer interaction, and sales. Parents of younger children may assist with the setting up ONLY.
How do I provide sponsorship?
Your decision to sponsor the fair will provide high visibility for your business or organization. Your sponsorship will support -
a full day of event organization
renting the venue and associated services
contribute towards the awards
marketing of the event
Sponsors will have the opportunity to advertise their businesses at the venue based on selection of the sponsorship. Organizers have no intentions of monetary benefits from this fair. This is completely volunteering based.
