About the fair
Observe the opportunity for children to launch their very own startup business!

Kids ages 6 to 17 develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace.

Join PCBF in shutting down Palafox and letting the kidprenuers take over the street selling their amazing goods and services! We will host 80 booths at the Winter event in Pensacola at the Palafox Market, Saturday November 9th from 9am – 2pm.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Thursday, August 30, 2019 by 5pm CST ( We filled all booths within the first 2 weeks for the spring fair. Do not hesitate!)

VENDOR LAUNCH PARTY: Friday, October 11, 2019 | 5:30-7pm
Don’t miss our Kickoff Launch party for all accepted vendors!

IMPORTANT DETAILS: Applications are processed weekly starting August 8th, 2019.  No more than three businesses can sell a similar product (i.e. slime, bath bombs).  All products must be home-made and not store bought - we want to encourage young creatives to build a product and launch from scratch! We will accept services-based businesses. Last minute changes to business plans may not be accepted due to planning and logistics. There is a $15 participation fee. Just like a real market, you’ll be responsible for bringing your own supplies such as 6’ table, chairs, and tent (10x10 only). If you are selling food, make sure you become familiar with Florida's cottage law under Escambia County.

Once you apply, expect to hear back within 7 business days or the following Monday. The participation fee must be paid within 72 hours of acceptance. If payment is not received by that time, the spot will be forfeited to the next entrepreneur in line due to the high number of excited applicants.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Pensacola Children’s Business Fair?

The Pensacola Children’s Business Fair inspires children to discover their inner entrepreneur. The largest entrepreneurship event for kids in North America, this one-day market gives children the opportunity to showcase their very own businesses.

How many businesses will you accept?

We will accept up to 80 businesses.

Where should I begin?

Start with our resources page. Read inspiring stories about other young entrepreneurs and play games to hone your business skills.

How do I apply? Can I apply as part of a group?

Application must be submitted online. Please submit one application for each business. Children working as a group should submit one application that includes each child’s information. No more than 3 participants per business.

What is on the application?

The application asks kids to think through some simple, but important elements of their business:

  • What product or service do you plan to sell?
  • What price will you charge for each product/service? How much will each product/service cost you?
  • How will you pay for your startup costs? If someone is helping you with your startup costs, how will you pay that person back?
  • How will you advertise/market your business before the fair?
  • At the end of the fair, how will you determine if your business was a success?

What if someone else has the same business idea?

We limit to 3 of similar product.

How will the fair be set up?

The fair will be a outdoor event. Each business will need to supply or rent their own 6 or 8-foot table, full-cover tent (10x10 size only), and chairs. We are not able to accommodate businesses requiring electricity.

Will electricity be available?

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide electricity to the booths.

What are the rules?

This event is designed to give children the experience of creating a business and selling a product or service. If a parent is found creating a business for a child or selling a child’s product or service, the child’s business will be disqualified from attending another PCBF. This includes but not limited to family businesses.

One parent/adult guardian only of younger children may sit in the booth with the children, but the children should be responsible for set up, customer interaction, and sales.  Only 1 parent is allowed behind the  vendor booth at all time.

Parents may help their child fill out the application, but we expect the children to do as much as possible by themselves.
