About the fair
We’re thrilled to announce our next Young Entrepreneurs Fair, happening in collaboration with Daisy Fest!

This unique event gives kids the chance to become real-world entrepreneurs. Each participant will develop their own brand, create a product or service, design a marketing strategy, and then set up during the outdoor festival, Daisy Fest!

From homemade crafts to creative services, this is an incredible opportunity for children to learn by doing, gain confidence, and proudly share their talents with the community.

Kids will:
• Design/set up their own booth
• Sell their product or service
• Practice money handling, customer service, and creativity
• Be celebrated as the innovative leaders they are!

Booth Fee: $15
Spaces are limited.

Let’s inspire the next generation of creators, doers, and dreamers.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Acton Children’s Business Fair?
The Acton Children’s Business Fair inspires children to discover their inner entrepreneur. The largest entrepreneurship event for children in North America, this one-day market gives children the opportunity to showcase their very own businesses.

How many businesses will you accept?
We can accept up to 18 booths.

How do I apply? Can I apply as part of a group?
The application must be submitted online. Please submit one application for each business. Children working together as a group should submit a single application—no more than 3 participants per business(booth).

What if someone else has the same business idea?
Two cupcake businesses? Not a problem. In general, we will let market forces play out; however, we will inform later entrants if another applicant has a similar idea, allowing them to decide how to proceed.

How will the fair be set up?
The fair will be a tented outdoor event with booths, joining Daisy Fest. Each business will be given a location where they will set up on the day of the event. Children are responsible for bringing their own tables, chairs, and tents. Tablecloths
 will not be provided.

Will electricity be available?
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide electricity to the booths.

What are the rules?
This event is designed to give children the experience of selling a product or service.

Parents of younger children must be present at the booth, but the children should be responsible for most of the setup, customer interaction, and sales.

Parents may assist their child in filling out the application, but we hope for the children to complete as much of it as possible on their own.

How did the Acton Children’s Business Fair get started?
Jeff and Laura Sandefer and a few other families wanted to spark a sense of wonder and entrepreneurship in their children, so they created the first Acton Children’s Business Fair in Austin, Texas, in 2007. That year, there were seven entrepreneurs and around 25 attendees. Now, there are over 115 entrepreneurs and 1,500 attendees at the Acton Children's Business Fair in Austin.
